Spray Tanning Tips and Tricks
The do's, dont's and the best way to maintain your Spray Tan!
Tip one: Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!
Our Loofah Earth Body Polisher is a fantastic exfoliant to rid those dead skin cells gently and effectively. Enriched with almond proteins and jojoba oil ensure to concentrate on key areas such as the ankles, knees and elbows. Don't forget to exfoliate the face with either Gommage Delicat or Revitalisant. For best results exfoliate the day of your tan or the day before.
Tip two: Moisturise
Moisturise 2 weeks prior to having your spray tan concentrating on ankles, knees and elbows. Our Water Source Creme will put an end to those wrinkly elbows and leave the skin supple and velvety soft. Do not moisturise the day of your spray tan!
Tip Three: Waxing and shaving
Make sure all waxing is done 1 week before and shaving at least three/four days before.
Tip Four: Clear nail polish
To prevent your toes and fingernails from staining apply a coat of clear nail polish.
Tip five: What do I wear ? After having your spray tan it is best to wear loose clothing. Such as a loose dress, T-shirt with shorts (the baggy kind) preferably something with a draw string and no jeans. Minimal jewellery and sandals or thongs for footwear are best.
Tip six: After care
After you've had your spray tan and depending on colour you may be able to shower after a few hours and carry on with your nightly routine e.g. gym or exercise. However, we recommend you take the night off to relax. Any excessive perspiration will cause the tan to come off.
To prolong your spray tan we recommend Great Sunkiss body lotion. It's a body moisturiser with a hint of self tan. The perfect way to maintain your spray tan in between treatments.
